These free interactive samba drumming workshops are so much fun for all ages and all abilities. No drumming experience necessary! We will teach you the basics of being in a samba band and really connect you to the festival.. Come along and feel like a rock star!! All instruments provided.

Under The Canopy Cornwall will be bringing wilderness survival training to Paradhis. These sessions are suitable for all ages young or old, and encourages you to join in as a whole family. Saturday & Sunday sessions as below

• Axes and Archery : 09:30 - 16:00 
• Family survival challenge: 10:30 - 11:30
• Spear Making: 15:00 - 16:00
• Fish and Fire: 12:30 - 14:00

Crochet delights and locally sourced lathe-worked wooden sculptures. There will be demonstrations to watch on the traditional lathe and have a go sessions. I will be providing crochet lessons, giving people the opportunity to learn some basic crochet stitches.

The "Forge" will be offering have a go sessions at the Paradhis Festival. You will have the opportunity to work with a professional blacksmith to make a small item using traditional skills unchanged for millenia. You can pre book your session to make a beautiful toasting fork, or fire poker, or sign up on the day to make a decorative hook with us.

Two forges are available for each time slot, to book your session, click the button below and select the day, then the time that you require and follow the payment instructions. 

No previous experience is required and safety equipment will be provided, however you must be wearing sensible shoes and non flammable clothes.  This ticket is for the forging session only and does not include admission to the Paradhis Festival. Finnish saunas are considered to have their own unique character, they retain energy and create loyly. The loyly enhances the experience.

This energy is first born with the craftsmanship of wood-fired saunas by ex boat builder Martin Dean from Kernow Springs. Your heart rate will increase to running pace, the temperature dilates blood vessels, reduces blood pressure, and increases blood flow to the skin and muscles. Under hot stress the body promotes a release of the body’s natural cooling hormone this allows the cells of your body to catch more of the endorphin hormone the next time you are exposed to an endorphin provoking exercise, such as an ice bath.
